Chapter 02
User Needs
Crypto market information is spread across prices, on-chain activity, media coverage and social discussion. The same event can attract conflicting explanations, while sources differ in timeliness, quality and relevance. Much of the work lies in turning this material into judgments that can support further research and action.
Abundant information, fragmented work#
After finding a news item, users still need to check its source, establish context, compare viewpoints and assess its relevance to the assets they follow. Testing a strategy often requires a separate set of tools and another round of organizing variables, assumptions and rules.
Context is easily lost between these steps. Original evidence, disagreements, the conditions behind a judgment and subsequent developments rarely stay together in one research process.
Connecting three kinds of work#
The Data Dashboard supports discovery and monitoring. Event Engine develops a question through multiple perspectives. The Quant Platform provides tools for strategy creation and product use. Their connection preserves the context of a question as users move from discovery to research and strategy validation.
For example, a user following changes in flows around an asset category can examine market data and reporting, explore alternative scenarios, and then decide whether a strategy needs testing. A valid research outcome may also be continued observation or a revised assumption.
Capabilities that stay with the user#
A Personal Agent is intended to support the same user over time. It will use the user’s interests and task permissions to follow changes that warrant renewed research.
As Agents become connected, a lead discovered by one can inform another’s research. A strategy or analytical capability can also support tasks elsewhere in the network. This moves financial research from isolated tool use toward ongoing collaboration under user authorization.
