Chapter 08
Dynamic Baskets
Dynamic Baskets are DI index-style quant products. A basket holds a group of assets and adjusts its constituents and weights periodically under strategy rules. The initial focus is Meme assets.
Product composition#
Users can review a basket’s constituent assets, weights and selection rationale to understand the product’s portfolio rules.
Constituents and weights affect concentration and risk. Holding several assets does not eliminate common exposure, particularly when they respond to the same narrative, liquidity conditions or market sentiment.
Periodic rebalancing#
Dynamic Baskets rebalance according to their strategy rules and retain records of each adjustment. These records help users understand how the current composition was formed and how the product changed over time.
Each product’s strategy rules determine its rebalancing conditions and frequency.
Performance and risk#
Users can follow product performance, rebalance history and risk information over time. Results need to be assessed alongside the strategy rules, asset universe and market environment.
Meme assets can experience substantial volatility, liquidity changes and concentration risk. An index-style structure does not provide principal protection or a return guarantee.
Offering capacity#
DI special quant products are capped at US$1 million per offering. Capacity for user-created products follows each product’s rules.
